Dr. Ladd founded Ladd Dental Group in Kokomo, Indiana back in 1979. Since Ladd Dental Group's inception, they have grown to over six general dentistry locations, two orthodontic practices, an oral surgery center, and provide comprehensive dental care to all of their patients. Dr. Ladd was born at St. Joe Hospital and raised in Miami County, IN. John enjoys reading, fishing, & going to the gym. He is married to his wife Tisa who is also a dentist. Together they have four children, two sons, and two daughters. What Dr. John loves most about dentistry is visiting with the patients and seeing a beautiful end result. He believes that everyone is unique and deserves the best care he can provide. He is Ladd Dental Group's most experienced dentist when it comes to dental surgeries and tooth extractions. Dr. Smith works out of our Ladd Dental Group of Peru office. Dr. Pauley is the Ladd Dental group's root canal and endodontics guru. Dr. Pauley has been performing endodontic therapy for over 25 years, and has a proven track record of highly successful clinical outcomes. Dr. McCoy grew up in Galveston, IN and went to Lewis Cass high school in Walton. Following graduation, she attended Indiana University of Kokomo where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biological and Physical Sciences with a minor in Psychology. While at IUK, she was a cheerleader, founder of the pre-dental club, and spent many hours volunteering in her community. Dr. McCoy moved to Indianapolis after graduating from IUK to receive her DDS degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry.
In her free time, she and her husband Zach enjoy travelling, scuba diving, snowboarding, and spending time with friends and family. After years of being away from home, Dr. McCoy is happy to be back in Cass County and serving her community!

Dr. Zachary R Trillet grew up in Kalamazoo, MI, and attended the University of Michigan where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2014. He then attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Chicago, IL, where he obtained his DMD degree.
Zachary R Trillet, DMD was board certified by the American Board of Dental Examiners in 2019. During dental school, Dr. Trillet met his wife, Elizabeth, who graduated in 2020 . Dr. Trillet practiced general dentistry for a year in Chicago and 2 years in Cleveland while his wife completed her schooling.
Dr. Trillet and Liz welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in September. In their free time, they enjoy staying active, spending time with friends and family, and supporting their favorite sports teams: the Wolverines, Hoosiers, and Chicago Bears.

We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Steven Mah, our newest addition to the LADD Dental Group family. Dr. Mah was born and raised in Evansville, IN, where his passion for helping others began. He pursued a Biology degree at the University of Southern Indiana, graduating in 2019. Driven by his dedication to the dental profession, Dr. Mah went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2024.
Dr. Mah is excited to join the LADD Dental team and is eager to bring his expertise and compassionate care to our patients. He looks forward to providing top-notch dental care and getting to know each of our wonderful patients personally.
Outside of the office, Dr. Mah enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, whether it's through lively board game nights, exploring new and exciting cuisines, or staying active. Lately, he’s developed a passion for pickleball, and you might even find him on the courts in his free time!

Dr. Brittany Curnutt is extremely excited to be a member of LADD Dental Group! Her goal is to make patients feel comfortable during their visits while also motivating them to play an active role in their oral and dental health. Dr. Curnutt wants to help patients feel confident in their smiles. She grew up in Westfield, Indiana, where she is a graduate of Westfield High School. She then graduated from DePauw University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry in 2010. Dr. Curnutt is a graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry, where she graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2014. During her time at IUSD, Dr. Curnutt volunteered at the Student Outreach Clinic, which provided free dental care to an under-served population in Indianapolis. Additionally, she was a member of Kid's Club, which provided dental health education and screenings to children in the Indianapolis area. Dr. Curnutt is a member of the Indiana Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society. Dr. Curnutt has attended several continuing education classes in order to remain knowledgeable about new technology and advancements in the dental profession. Her most recent continuing education experience included a visit to Glasgow, Scotland to attend the International Association of Pediatric Dentistry convention. Dr. Curnutt also earned certification to provide clear braces to patients using Six Month Smiles. During her free time, Dr. Curnutt enjoys going to sporting events, listening to live music, traveling, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. She also recently adopted a boxer mix named Jax, and she loves taking him to the bark park or on walks. Dr. Curnutt looks forward to meeting you and serving all of your dental needs!

Dr. Newman was born and raised in Michigan City, IN. Dustin and his wife, Liz have been married for 12 years and they have two daughters. Spending time with his family is his favorite past time! They raise rabbits and chickens on their hobby farm. His two daughters participate in 4H where they show rabbits. Dr. Newman received his bachelor’s from Indiana University Northwest before graduating from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Newman has built his practice around treating children, and he has tremedous experience in pediatric dentistry. He is an active member of the ADA and the IDA. As far as dentistry is concerned Dr. Newman has a passion for helping his patients! He wants to get them out of pain while getting them over their fears, and get their smile back! His patients are the reason he practices dentistry. He treats each patient as they are a member of his family. Dr. McLellan is a graduate of Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Dr. McLellan continued on to dental school and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He joined the Ladd Dental Group team about two years ago, and the response from our dental patients has been nothing but positive. Dr. McLellan is thrilled to be able to take care of patients here in the Kokomo/Greentown area. Dentistry is his passion, and he prides himself on the quality and comfort of care that I provide. In his free time, he enjoys reading a good book, exploring the open road on his bicycle, and spending time with his family and friends. Dr. DeaKyne grew up in Fortville, IN where he followed in his grandfather’s footsteps to become a dentist. Dr. DeaKyne received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and received his doctor of dental surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. After 30 years of practicing dentistry, the most important things to him are still the relationship with the patient and educating them about their dental needs as well as giving them high quality care.
Dr. DeaKyne enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, including root canals and extractions. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and the North Central Indiana Dental Association.
Dr. DeaKyne and his wife Shelbia have four grown children and six grandchildren. They attend the Warren United Church of Christ. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys golfing, car shows, attending I.U. football and basketball games, and traveling. Dr. Bryan Schmidt joined our Ladd Dental Group family back in 2019, and he has been such a wonderful addition to our Wabash team. Dr. Schmidt was born and raised in right here in Wabash! Dr. Schmidt attended undergrad at Purdue University where he graduated with a General Science Degree. From there, Dr. Bryan went on to Indiana University's Dental School were he received his DDS diploma and was named to the Dean’s List! Dr. Bryan recently graduated and is excited to start his career back where it all began. Dr. Conkin received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, Memphis, Tennessee. Upon graduation, he began a career in the United States Navy and completed a general practice residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He practiced as a general dentist for the next two years, serving with and caring for Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He deployed to Iraq with the Marines in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Conkin completed an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the National Capitol Consortium (National Naval Medical Center/ Walter Reed Army Medical Center) in Bethesda, Maryland/ Washington DC. While in residency, he was privileged to care for our sailors, soldiers, airmen, and marines injured during combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. He rotated at multiple hospitals including the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Washington Hospital Center, and the aforementioned training hospitals. This allowed Dr. Conkin to operate with many world experts on various aspects of oral surgery, head and neck pathology, maxillofacial reconstruction, and facial cosmetic surgery and utilize this knowledge in all aspects of his surgical practice today.

Dr. Geiger was born and raised right here in Indianapolis! David and his family grew up in the Geist area and are still highly active in the local community. David attended Amy Beverland Elementary School, Belzer Middle School, and Lawrence Central High School. He grew up playing little league baseball at Oakland Youth Organization and also played both basketball and baseball at Lawrence Central High School. David then went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Minors in Biochemistry and French from DePauw University! From there, David went on to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where he received his DMD diploma and was named to the Dean’s List! Since graduating from dental school in 2015, David has built an impressive resume, including becoming an Adjunct Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and working as an Associate Dentist at Live Well Community Health Center in Concordia, MO since 2016. David and his wife Kelsey, also a phenomenal dentist within our group, have a beautiful one year old daughter, Reese. They are so excited to be coming home as a family after completing Kelsey’s military service as a Captain in the United States Air Force. Their tight knit growing unit also has two pups, Paisley and Josie. David is all about THE Indiana Hoosiers, loves the Colts, and is a baseball fanatic. Dr. Ashley Howard is thrilled to be part of the Ladd Dental group. Dr. Howard is a General Dentist with a passion for art, science, and interpersonal relationships. She always strives to deliver comprehensive and compassionate dental care tailored to the individual patient. Dr. Howard grew up in Clayton, New York, where she graduated from Thousand Islands High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Minors in Biology and Neuroscience from Elon University in North Carolina. Dr. Howard then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine in Illinois (CDMI-IL). Dr. Howard provides dental treatments including, Fillings, Dentures, Partials, Crowns, Bridges, Veneers, Root Canals, Extractions, Cosmetic Dentistry, and Preventative education. Dr. Howard was recognized for excellence in patient care and was awarded the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) Dental Student Award during her time at CDMI-IL. She is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Apperson Study Club, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. When not in the office she enjoys cooking, skiing, boating, painting, and spending time with family. She has recently moved to Carmel, IN, and is excited to become a part of the community and continue to serve people through comfortable and compassionate dental care. Dr. Patel then went on to graduate with a DMD degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. Ultimately, Dr. Patel went on to graduate from West Virginia University School of Dentistry's Prosthodontics Residency Program in 2014. He moved to Indianapolis about two years ago and really likes living back in his home state. Dr. Patricia Flores is a Huntington, Indiana native and has recently joined Ladd Dental Group team in Peru and Wabash. After graduating from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, she went on to receive a technical certificate in Dental Assisting. Soon after, Patricia returned to school to become a hygienist and subsequently a dentist. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family listening to live music, reading, and gardening. She is excited to return to the area as a practicing dentist, and to be able to serve this remarkable community.
